PhD Candidate in Agricultural and Resource Economics

University of California, Davis

I am a natural resource and environmental economist. My research focuses on conservation and sustainable resource management, balancing economic and ecological goals. My methods include dynamic optimization, mathematical programming, and econometrics.

My paper Spatial-dynamic model of commercial fishing trip decision-making won the North American Association of Fisheries Economists (NAAFE) 2021 Best Student Paper, sponsored by NOAA. The presentation of an earlier version won the First Prize of NAAFE 2021 Best Student Presentation Awards.

I help organize the NatuRE Policy Lab at UC Davis. This is a working group of faculty and students tackling resource management problems with tools from economics and other social and natural sciences.

Starting September 2022, I will be a postdoctoral fellow at Centre for Applied Research (SNF) at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), Bergen, Norway.
